چکیده

Aims: Evidence is emerging that, in the setting of isomerism, atrial and bronchial arrangement are not always concordant, nor these patterns harmonious with abdominal organs. We aimed to evaluate concordance between features a cohort patients cardiac malformations known seeking determine whether it was feasible assess complexity on this basis, regard taking note potential value as opposed appendage morphology. Methods Results: studied 78 have isomerism bronchuses, 43 right 35 left isomerism. Appendage anatomy could be determined 49 cases (63%), all but one being concordant anatomy. When assessing features, only 59 (76%) splenic morphology keeping thoracic findings. As expected, associated greater malformations, an odds ratio 6.53, confidence intervals from 2.2–19.3 (p < 0.001). The were slightly decreased thoraco-abdominal disharmony, when lesions shown carry higher risk then found Conclusion: Harmony excellent less so Right our cohort, indicative six-fold increase intracardiac complexity. discordance systems, however, anomalies typical anticipated findings for vs. appendages.

Concordant and Discordant Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging Delayed Hyperenhancement Patterns in Patients with Ischemic and Non-Ischemic Cardiomyopathy.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The diagnosis of ischemic (ICM) and non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM) is conventionally determined by the presence or absence of coronary artery disease (CAD) in the setting of a reduced left systolic function. However the presence of CAD may not always indicate that the actual left ventricular (LV) dysfunction mechanism is ischemia, as other non-ischemic etiologies c...

We analyzed the growth patterns of young adult MZ pairs discordant and concordant for obesity. Screening 5 consecutive birth cohorts (1975-1979) of 22- to 27-year-old Finnish twins (the FinnTwin1...
